AMC Supercharger
Summer and Fall 2025
If your student plans to take the AMC 8, 10 or 12 this fall, know this: efficient and effective AMC prep is a curved path, not a straight line. What worked well in the beginning of the journey is shockingly ineffective in the final months. And the last thing a gifted and motivated student needs is prep that feels like a boring grind.
That’s why we’ve made our short summer program different.
Students who participated in our last Supercharger Program qualified for AIME at 7x the national rate.
Here’s how
This summer’s varsity sport
Students gain confidence in high-level critical thinking through carefully sequenced seminars, proctored tests and close analysis for each student.
Beyond just content
Skills you learn with us—flexible thinking, abstract reasoning, expert time management, etc—will make you a better learner in general.

The Fall Supercharger is structured in 2 semesters.
- The first 2-week long semester is intended to build students’ strengths in Presence, Fluency, and Boldness, in a collaborative group setting.
-
- If you participated in the Summer AMC Supercharger, the first semester can be considered an extension of your summer work; the first semester is not necessary for Summer Supercharger students, but beneficial for further sharpening of skills.
- Students will come away from the first semester with an understanding of what they should work on independently, guided by our personal analysis of their performance during the first semester.
-
- The first semester is followed by an “off period”, where no instruction or practice tests will occur. This period is intended for students to study privately however they choose. Students are encouraged to schedule additional 1-1 coaching with our team.
- The second semester, consisting of two weeks separated by another off period, serves as another opportunity for students to learn more from their coaches and peers, refine their skills in the off period, then get one last chance for refinement with their coaches and peers before the exam.
Students who participate in both semester and 1-1 coaching with our team will experience additional benefit:
- 3 office hours per week to work directly with coaches, in addition to regular one-on-one sessions
- The Supercharger experience complements and informs your one-on-one coaching
- The ability to work with multiple coaches, not just your own, and learn multiple styles of problem-solving

How much experience does a student need to participate in the AMC Supercharger?
In most classrooms, students are expected to share the same background of coursework. But since the AMC is an inherently different type of test from what most students are used to, the barrier to success is more dependent on students’ creativity, flexible thinking, and problem-solving abilities than it is on their previous curriculum. The content and skills covered in the AMC Supercharger will challenge every student in the room regardless of their age and background, provided they are working at a high-school level.
Put simply, the AMC Supercharger is geared towards rewiring students’ thought processes and problem-solving strategies in ways that will serve them far beyond the scope of the AMC – no prerequisites required.
What’s the structure of the Supercharger?
We’ll hold two separate cohorts – one in July, one in August. We’ll meet for 3 hours every Saturday and Sunday via Zoom for 3 weeks, during which our AMC veterans will share course material, problem-solving skills, proctored tests, and personalized feedback. Beyond face-to-face meetings, students should expect to complete 3-6 hours of homework per week. Our AMC veterans will hold office hours throughout the week to encourage and manage effective self-study.
I’m concerned that my student won't be able to balance the workload…
This is a great reason to participate in the Supercharger. This course is not only an intro to problem-solving, but it will also be an intro to getting stuff done on your own. With guidance from our coaches, students will learn self-study skills and develop metacognitive skills that they’ll need to achieve their goals, even beyond the AMC. We’re not only experts in AMC coaching, but we also instill Executive Function skills in everything we do.
I don’t know enough about the AMC to know if I should participate.
We’d love to tell you more! The AMC Supercharger is a fantastic opportunity for students to engage with math puzzles in a way that sparks their curiosity and makes them better learners. Top-tier universities seek out the types of skills that are developed through the Supercharger, and AMC scores make students stand out in a way that SAT/ACT scores alone do not.
